Most headboards come with struts. These struts screw into the back of the headboard and will fit neatly on to the back of the any standard size divan bed. In most cases the headboard will include a gap on the standing frame which is where the bolts can be screwed in allowing for a sturdy head end which wont move about.
Beside this, are headboard bolts standard size?
Bolts should be no more than 1 inch longer than the thickness of the headboard. The most common sizes are the 4 inch bolts and the 2 ¼ inch bolts.
Also know, what is the point of a headboard?
The headboard is a piece of furniture that attaches to the head of a bed. Historically, they served to isolate sleepers from drafts and cold in less insulated buildings, and thus were made of wood, which is less thermally conductive than stone or brick.
How to Install a Headboard to a Metal Bed Frame
- Remove the mattress and all padding from the bed frame, exposing the metal frame itself.
- Slide the headboard into place where you want it to sit after it is installed.
- Gently slide the bed frame up to the headboard so that the holes in the front of the frame line up with the bolt holes in the headboard.
