Correspondingly, do lions and tigers eat each other?
First off lions and tigers do not even coexistin the same environment so even if they could eat each otherthey can't. Secondly, lions and tigers are apexpredators which simply means they're predators residing at the topof the food chain.
Similarly, do tigers eat snakes?
Snakes aren't necessarily a part of atiger's diet, but there is photographic evidence oftigers killing them. Maybe why they don't actively go aftersnakes is because there are always chances a snake'sbite will kill a tiger, as one did in Tadoba in 2012. A bitefrom a Russell's viper killed a pregnant tigress.
Hunting alone, a tiger can take down prey four tofive times its own size. While studying wild tigers over aquarter century I have tried to learn how they locate, stalk, ambush, subdue, and kill their prey—typically deer andwild pigs. Occasionally tigers kill calves of elephants andrhinos.
