In this regard, how does hotel key cards work?
The key card door lock is triggered once themagnetic strip is read and verified by the hotel doorcard reader. As a general rule, the motion is completed byswiping the card through the magnetic reader. RFID orproximity cards don't require the swipingmotion.
Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) is thewireless non-contact use of radio-frequency electromagnetic fieldsto transfer data, for the purposes of automatically identifying andtracking tags attached to objects. Many hotels are converting toRFID door locking systems.
