Then, how do I get hot water in my RV?
For most RVs, the following steps can be applied to RV and trailer water heaters:
- Check the water heater bypass valve.
- Open it up and let the water flow into the primary tank.
- Now, connect your RV to a nearby water outlet and use the onboard pump to start pumping water.
- Turn on the hot water tap.
Just so, why does my RV have no hot water?
If you have no water at all from the hot faucet, it is the check valve by the tank that is stuck closed. If you get cold or lukewarm water from the hot faucet, then it could be one of the other valves, or an outside faucet or shower head mixing valve that has been accidentally left open.
The average RV water heater costs between $800-$1,000. A standard 10-gallon water heater will cost around $800, while a tankless water heater will cost around $1,000. It all depends on the amount of hot water you want on your RV, and how much your RV is meant to hold.
