technology and computing searchHow do I search multiple text files at once?

- Search mode = Regular Expression.
Keeping this in consideration, how do you search multiple Word documents at once?
Either go into the base folder of your Worddocuments or have all word documents you want tosearch through in the same folder. In the address bar to theright is a 'search box'. Just type in the word/phraseyou're looking for in there and Windows will list you thedocuments where the word/phrase appears.
- Many of us rely on Windows Search to find files and launchprograms, but searching for text within files is limited tospecific file types by default.
- In the “Indexing Options” window, click the“Advanced” button.
- In the “Advanced Options” window, switch to the“File Types” tab.
Accordingly, how do you select multiple files at once?
Select multiple files or folders that are not groupedtogether
- Click the first file or folder, and then press and hold theCtrl key.
- While holding down the Ctrl key, click each of the other filesor folders you want to select.
Click the File Types tab on the Advanced Optionsdialog box. By default, all the extensions are selected, and that'swhat we want. This will allow Windows to searchthrough all the types of files on your hard drive. Selectthe Index Properties and File Contents option in the Howshould this file be indexed section.
