Herein, can a bike fit inside a car?
Almost all bikes with the front wheel removed will fit in a hatchback unless it is a very small car such as Mini. Most road bike with front wheel removed will fit in a sedan if it has a fold down rear seat. Mountain bike may not fit depending on the opening between the rear seat and trunk.
Also to know is, will a bike rack scratch my car?
The short answer is YES, it can if you aren't careful. But, you can stop the paint from getting scratched on your car. Your problems can start right after you first mount your bike rack to your vehicle.
Generally, and depending on SUV make and model you can easily fit more than one bike using this method. Not really, just be careful. You also don't really want to stack things on top of the bike, especially if you have no wheel in (e.g. at the fork).
