Hereof, what can I use to clean my bearings?
Clean all the old grease off thebearings,brake and spindle with solvent. Pop the old sealout with a pry baror even a screwdriver, then use solvent toclean upall the old grease. Dry with a rag or compressedair. Pack thebearings by mushing grease in between therollers untilthey're completely coated.
Beside this, how do I know if my bike bearings are bad?
Here are some indicators of a worn wheel hub bearingorother wheel-end damage:

- • Knocking or clunking.
- • Humming, rumbling or growling.
- • Wheel vibration and/or wobble.

- • Abnormal side pull when brakes are applied.
- • Uneven rotor or brake pad wear.
Put the bearings in a container WITH ALIDand fill it to the brim with isopropyl alcohol. Capthecontainer and shake for 5 minutes. While you're waitingforthe alcohol to fully evaporate, you can take thetimeto clean the bearing covers with somepapertowels.
