Raw cabbage is safe for birds. It does contain Oxalic Acid that effects the absorption of calcium in birds, however, if your bird is not a laying hen or does not have low calcium levels it is fine to offer.

Then, can birds eat purple cabbage?
Cabbage in moderation is fine for parrots. Just ensure that there is a balance of calcium rich foods. Certain greens, cabbage included, as well as spinach, collard greens etc can block the absorption of calcium.
Some healthy fruits include apples, grapes, berries, papaya, and mango. Vegetables such as carrots, broccoli, zucchini, squash, cooked sweet potatoes, and dark leafy greens (such as romaine, kale, chicory, dandelion leaves, and turnip or collard greens) make great lovebird food.
