Is ip44 the same as ipx4?

IP codes always have at two numbers (they can haveletter suffixes too). e.g. IP44, IP66. e.g. IPX4,IP4X. The second number means protection against water (drippingvertical, dripping slanted, spraying, splashing, jetting,immersion).
