Cats pausing in place or yanking at the clothing are likely uncomfortable in the outfit and you should remove it. When an animal seems to tolerate donning an article of clothing, make sure the costume doesn't restrict their ability to do daily activities, like walking, jumping, eating, or going to the bathroom.
Secondly, is it OK to dress your cat?
Lets face it, most people dress their cats up for the simple fact that they look cute wearing them. While there's nothing wrong with doing this, cats may actually benefit from wearing clothes. Whether it's a shirt, sweater, hoodie or a cute dress, your feline companion may thank you for their new outfit.
Since the clothes fit around their entire body, this makes them feel they are surrounded. The only sensible alternative to running into that something is to freeze, and to hope what ever it is goes away. This is also why many cats dislike being under the covers in bed.
