Can you apply pre emergent and fertilizer at the same time?

It is okay to use pre-emergent and fertilizers at the same time. They both should be watering with around a 1/4 inch or less of irrigation. Applying a contact herbicide at the same time is not advised because the application of water for the fertilizer or pre-emergent will wash off the herbicide.
