Can you drill a well on an island?

The sea water intrusion is dictated by the same hydraulic principles as the groundwater, meaning the sea water has the same limitations getting into the groundwater as the groundwater getting out. So, I will close by saying “Yes, you can dig a well on a small island and get fresh water” if you do it right.
