Key cycling to determine cause of check engine light. I heard from a mechanic (who changed my oil) that there's a "key cycling" process that will cause the light to flash in a certain pattern that encodes the cause of the check engine light.
Accordingly, what is an ignition cycle?
Ignition cycles means number of times you've started the vehicle since the "repair."
Regarding this, do you need to cycle a car to start the key?
Try: Cycling the Key The trick is to turn the key to the start position repeatedly about 10 times in a row. Stop and wait five minutes. Then try to start the engine. But if the dome light stayed bright when you turned the key, move on to the next trick if your car won't start.
The spark plug has two primary functions: To ignite the air/fuel mixture.
