home and garden indoor environmental qualityWhat is FSK faced insulation?
Considering this, what is FSK paper?
FSK Facing rolls are an uncoated, flame resistant aluminum foil/fiberglass scrim/Kraft lamination used for facing thermal insulation. Scrim: 2 x 3/sq.in. (2.5 x 2.5 cm). Tridirectional pattern. Application: Vapor barrier paper over plain fiberglass and other insulation products.
Simply so, what is scrim faced insulation?
Foil Scrim Kraft or FSK insulation is a flame retardant, vapor-barrier, and is one of the most commonly used facings in the insulation industry today. A FSK insulation facing is made of lightweight aluminum foil that is layered against a fiberglass scrim and then paired with a final layer of natural brown kraft paper.
FSK, or Foil Scrim Kraft is also a flame-retardant, vapor-barrier facing. The facing is most commonly utilized with duct wrap, duct board, and mechanical spin-glass boards on the outward-facing, exposed surfaces of HVAC ductwork.
