Vipassana, which means seeing things as they really are, isone of the world's most popular meditation techniques. It wassupposedly taught by Buddha himself in India more than 2500 yearsago. Today, the technique of Vipassana is taught in 10-daycourses all over the world.
Herein, what is the goal of Vipassana?
Like any meditation technique, the purpose ofVipassana is to create awareness. Awareness of the deep mind ordeep consciousness, through practice of choiceless observation,I.e. Maintaining a state of equanimity through the experiences inthe practice.
Vipassana, chakra, and yoga are threedifferent forms of meditation.
