home and garden home appliancesWhat to do if you think someone is living in your attic?
Keeping this in consideration, what to do if you think someone is in your attic?
Have the two men enter the attic, search it and determine if anybody has been staying up there. If someone has, then call the police, have them stop by and have them take photos and fill out a report. Ask if you can remove any belongings that were left and, when they leave, call a locksmith and have your locks changed.
Herein, what to do if you think someone is living in your house?
Call the police. If you can go to a neighbor's house in the interim, or call a friend to wait with you in your car outside, do so. If you're inside the house and cannot easily leave, close and lock the door of the room you're in and quietly call the police.
Entering the attic can be dangerous. You may fall through a ceiling, damage finishes, get an electric shock, or irritate your lungs, eyes or skin with insulation materials. When the attic insulation completely covers the ceiling joists, we do not recommend that you walk through the attic.
