Just so, where do rats hide outside?
Outdoor Hiding Spots They're usually big on underground burrowing. Some of them reside in small openings below homes. Others set up residence under stones, high grass and bushes in yards. Rats also often hide out below heaps of wood, as long as the wood is mostly ignored.
Roof rats and Norway rats are night time loving creatures that try to hide during the day. During the day, roof rats prefer to make their nests in high up places like attics, ceilings, and trees.
