The idea behind the technique is thatthetimer instills a sense of urgency. Rather than feelinglikeyou have endless time in the workday to get things done andthenultimately squandering those precious work hoursondistractions, you know you only have 25 minutes to make asmuchprogress on a task as possible.

Choose a task to be accomplished. SetthePomodoro to 25 minutes (the Pomodoro is thetimer)Work on the task until the Pomodoro rings, then put acheckon your sheet of paper. Take a short break (5 minutesisOK)
The pomodoro method is pretty simple: work for25minutes. take a 5 minute break. repeat 4 times,thentake a longer 20 minute break.

- do the dishes.
- do some back stretches.
- make tea & have some fruit.
- oragnize your workspace.
- make dinner.
