Light is the plants' only source of energy, sothey are entirely dependent on light. Unlike people andanimals who derive energy from carbohydrates, protein and fat,plants produce these substances using the energy from lightand from carbon dioxide in the air.
In this manner, why is light important?
Light carries the energy required to sustain lifeon earth (photosynthesis). Light carries requiredinformation using which we can perceive things. The only reason whya photon can travel at light speeds is because it is massless.
